Introductory text
The Berlingo was launched by Citroën in 1996 and went down in history. For the first time, the silhouette of a delivery van shared no similarities with a sedan: the load volume is integrated, without the front part and the van part being unhooked.
Furthermore, its 5-seater by-product made it famous, notably in its colourful Multispace version : first leisure model of this kind, it created the leisure activity vehicle sector. In delivery van as with 5-seater cars, this successor of the C15 has been a great success. It soon became more convenient with the addition of one, and then two, lateral sliding doors. A radical remodelling in 2002, a new evolution in 2008 (when the second generation Berlingo comes out), caused this model to linger on in Europe until 2010 and even for four more years on some international markets.
